At the very least, The Force Awakens isn't the most imaginative title. Return of the Jedi (originally pitched as Revenge of the Jedi, which would later be used for Revenge of the Sith), The Empire Strikes Back, even The Phantom Menace - those titles were original. They hearkened back to early pulp sci-fi and adventure. This new title? Not so much. The Force Awakens does, however, sound like it could belong in a series - just not Star Wars. It seems more suited to a low budget horror series really. Maybe Friday The 13th, where it can be paired up with Jason Lives, or the King Kong series, in its lesser days (which featured another "Lives" title - King Kong Lives).
