5. Wolverine & Xavier Get Their Definitive Portrayals

There's no doubt that Logan allows both Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart to give their most impressively unrestrained performances as Logan and Charles Xavier respectively.

Both actors have had their worked deemed Oscar-worthy by many pundits, and while that likely won't happen, on their own merits the turns both feel like the definitive cinematic renditions of these iconic characters.

It's hard to imagine the pair being taken anywhere this daring or interesting for the foreseeable future, so James McAvoy and Jackman's inevitable replacement certainly have their work cut out for them.
