10 Reasons Loki Is Actually A Pretty Lame Villain

Maybe he just needs to go away for a little while.

tumblrWe love Loki - there's no denying that - and Tom Hiddleston is great. Both the character and actor are almost universally praised - and with good reason, Hiddleston does a great job with the material he's given - but, when you actually look a little closer at the ins and outs of the character, you come to realise that quite a lot of what makes Loki... well... Loki is actually pretty lame. It's not the greatest thing to resign yourself to as a fan of the character, but it's pretty hard to deny it, given the evidence. Marvel Studios obviously love the guy - he's appeared as a pivotal character in no less than three movies to date (Thor, The Avengers and Thor: The Dark World) and, given his current situation as the deceitful king of Asgard, he's certainly likely to appear again. As far as this site is concerned, if the comments in some of our articles were anything to go by, WhatCulture would be a Marvel-loving, DC-hating machine with a fanboy-esque penchant for all things Iron Man, Spider-Man, X-Men et al and a relentlessly negative bias against all things Batman and Superman - so let's do a little something to continue to show that's not actually the case.
