10. Clayface

While James Gunn has brought a very specific and recognisable style to the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad, and Superman, he has promised that, under his watch, the new DCU will not follow just one approach. As such, one of the next projects on the slate will venture into the world of body horror.

A standalone Clayface film may not have been what many had pictured this early into the new franchise, and it would appear that it will be as different to Superman as possible.

The Clayface character, typically found within the rogues' gallery of Batman, will be played by Tom Rhys Harries and will undergo a hideous disfigurement before having his entire body turned into clay.

Of course, this will still be a comic book movie, so it's hard to gauge just how much horror will be involved. However, the fact that the film is being written by Mike Flanagan should set some minds at ease. At the very least, this will be worth watching and will hopefully form an important part of the DCU moving forward.
