10 Recent Horror Movie Trailers That Showed Way Too Much

10. Hatching

Hatching revolves around a teenage gymnast called Tinja, who desperately seeks the approval of her callous mother. After discovering an abandoned egg in the woods, Tinja decides to care for it.

However, the egg quickly grows to immense size, much to Tinja's concern. Upon cracking open, Tinja sees the hatchling is some sort of monster. Dubbing the newborn, Alli, Tinja vows to give her "child" the motherly love she never received. But as Alli grows, Tinja realises she's unable to control it.

The first two minutes of Hatching's trailer play out with perfect subtlety, never revealing the creature. Although viewers catch a glimpse of Alli's eye and claw, it's impossible to tell what she looks like. Based on the other characters' reactions, it's obvious Alli is a terrifying sight to behold, which is sure to tickle horror fans' curiosity.

Too bad the last few seconds give the game away, disclosing that Alli eventually mutates into a horrifying doppelgänger of Tinja. Worse still, the trailer also displays several shots from the final scene.

Sadly, the last moments of the trailer eroded away all the tension the first two minutes impeccably built up.
