4. The Grabber - Black Phone 2

With the Grabber, Ethan Hawke brought an incredibly discomforting villain to life in The Black Phone. He was oddly calm and unbothered, seemingly showing no remorse for his heinous actions of child abduction and murder.

Thankfully, he was killed by Finney (Mason Thames), but in a world where a supernatural phoneline to the dead exists, death isn't always going to be final, as was kind of the case with the Grabber. He was still technically dead for the sequel four years later, but that didn't stop him from coming back and haunting Finney and Gwen (Madeleine McGraw) again.

This time, it was from beyond the grave, through dreams like a cheap version of Freddy Krueger. That being said, there's few villains that need to be killed quite like those that audiences already thought they'd seen the last of. Particularly, when they are as monstrous and indifferent as the Grabber.

Through some strange twists and turns, Mason and Gwen were able to send the Grabber to the bottom of an icy river, not just because he needed to be gone, but also as vengeance for the death of their mother. There was an undeniable sense of victory for the good guys here, but after returning from the grave once already, it would have been nicer to have had just a touch more finality to this one.
