2. Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl - It's A Wrong Trousers Rerun
Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl is a brilliant animated sequel, a triumphant return for two of Britain's greatest cultural exports that shows franchise creator Nick Park has lost none of his skills over the years.
There's at least one terrific gag in every moment of screen time, the film's various action sequences are practically perfect, and Feathers McGraw remains an absolutely stellar villain. It's hard to believe a silent penguin could be so menacing, but Park and Co. pulled it off and made it look easy.
The one area in which Vengeance Most Fowl lacks a little compared to its predecessors, though, is that it's not quite as original. With its story of Feathers McGraw hijacking a robot helper that Wallace (voiced by Ben Whitehead, replacing the late Peter Sallis) invented, it does feel like a bit of a Wrong Trousers rerun at times.
Nick Park has indicated that he wants to do more with the characters, and more Wallace & Gromit is always welcome, but it'd be good if a more original story could be found for any future adventures.
