The Rumour: Here's the big one: the alternately brilliant and demented theory that Ben Affleck isn't playing Bruce Wayne, but rather Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke, who is merely disguised as Batman. The theory is an attempt to a) connect the Nolan movies to the DCEU, as Christian Bale would still be the "real" Batman and b) quell all those somehow still-existing fears about Affleck playing the Caped Crusader. Considering that Batman v Superman is aiming to set up the Justice League, it needs to play things fairly safe, and a plot twist of this magnitude would be the total opposite of that. Plus, people don't want some Mandarin-esque switcharoo when it comes to one of the most iconic superheroes in history, and it would of course be a massive cop-out on the Batman-Superman superbrawl the marketing promised us.
