8. Best Animated Feature Goes To Nobody Because A Voter Is Too Grown-Up To Watch Cartoons

On to 2014, and we meet another voter/member of the directors branch, who has some choice throwaway one-liners about seeing better things than Gravity at planetariums and how meeting the people behind Before Midnight would cause him to "run in the opposite direction". Best of all though is this director's most glaring non-vote, in the Best Animated Feature category. Having looked over the nominees, The Croods, Despicable Me 2, Ernest & Celestine, Frozen and The Wind Rises, this voter decided to opt for the invisible sixth option, of nobody, because "I have no interest whatsoever". Elaborating on this decision, the director says he was done with animated films when he was a child, and also offers an insight into his parenting techniques: "My son dragged me to a few when he was 6; I would seat him and go outside and make phone calls."
