In Guillermo del Toro's feature-length adaptations of the Dark Horse Comics character, Ron Perlman's title character wields a hand-cannon suitably fit for a big red demon. The bullets for the Samaritan are filled with holy water, garlic cloves and white oak shavings that are lovingly hand-crafted by Hellboy himself, and the weapon earned its name from putting monsters out of their misery. Forged from Irish church bells and other supernaturally-charged metals, the wooden grips on the handles are even rumored to be made form the cross that Jesus Christ was crucified on. A weapon too large to be wielded by a mere mortal, the giant revolver is Hellboy's weapon of choice, although trying to reload it with a Right Hand of Doom could pose problems. The Big Baby used in Hellboy II is definitely flashier, but its always better to stick with a classic.
