While there can't be too many different ways for a car to skid, would it kill foley artists to actually go outside and, you know, drive a car around and make some sounds? This car skidding noise has been heard in countless movie productions of the years, and whenever someone needs to make a quick getaway, you can guarantee that this is the sound that will be used. It's short, to the point, and can be dubbed easily into a number of chaotic scenarios, the other sound elements hopefully masking just how thoroughly generic it is (and usually not succeeding in this stead).
