10 Scariest Moments In MCU History

10. Wanda's First Dreamwalk - Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

The powers of Wanda Maximoff have grown exponentially since her debut in the post-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. She had abilities right from the very start, but by the time she took her villainous turn in the Multiverse of Madness, she was one of the most powerful beings on the planet.

This was only bolstered by her possession of the Darkhold, the book of the damned that taught her the spell for dreamwalking. This was where her mind travelled across the multiverse, and for a short time took over the mind of a Variant of hers.

The Wanda of Earth-838 had the life Wanda-616 wanted - happy at home with her boys - and so the latter violated the mind of her Variant. The scene that depicted the switch was unsettling, to say the least. The lights were manipulated, Wanda-616 got into the pictures surrounding Wanda-838, in the cutlery, and just about everything else in the room.

The Scarlet Witch’s reflection in the window was the last thing Wanda-838 saw before having her mind taken over, as both versions of the character were portrayed without flaw by Elizabeth Olsen. In Phase Four, Olsen genuinely turned Wanda into one of the most compelling characters in the MCU, and had the ability and talent to do so in the weirdest of ways.
