10 Sci-Fi Movie Villains That Killed The Hero
10. Blade Runner 2049
Following on from the superb story of the original film, Blade Runner 2049 focuses on the replicant known as K, a "Blade Runner" sent to retire other replicants and who just so happens to be a replicant himself.
When a routine mission leads to the discovery that one particular replicant was able to naturally conceive and birth a child, K is forced to keep these findings a secret while attempting to root out their whereabouts.
To nobody's surprise, the child is revealed to be that of the original Blade Runner Rick Deckard. While all of this is going on, the founder of the replicant producing Wallace Corporation and all around shady dude Niander Wallace hears of the child's existence. Because of a 'shortage' of replicants, Wallace makes it his personal mission to find the child and bring them in to study.
Sending out his enforcer Luv, everything ultimately leads to a bit of a kerfuffle over the fate of the child. Deckard is kidnapped, they are both inducted into a replicant resistance and the whole story ultimately ends with K bleeding to death after defending Deckard and his daughter from the clutches of the Wallace Corporation.
A shady dude, indeed.
