1. Thanos Decapitates Captain America - Avengers: Endgame
But nothing on this list can quite match the gloriously insane - and very, very R-rated - idea the Russos had for the third act of Avengers: Endgame.
When 2014 Thanos arrives in 2023 for the film's final battle, the Russos wanted to have him throw the decapitated head of 2014 Captain America down at their feet.
Even ignoring the obvious ratings issue this would present, the Russos eventually nixed the idea because they felt it was too dark, even for the standards of intergalactic terrorist Thanos.
But if the Russos could've stuck the course and found a creative way to shoot the scene in order to avoid censorship, it would've been the most jaw-dropping (literally) scene in the entire MCU.
It's understandable why it was never shot, but it would've made one hell of a deleted scene for the home video release.
