This entry has already been and gone. But youd be forgiven if you didnt notice. The original Die Hard trilogy was a really fun set of action flicks. The first movie invented a lot of clichés that have become overused staples of the genre today. The first sequel was an average replication of the source material but the third film, Die Hard With A Vengeance, proved that John McClane still had some steam in him. Of course pairing up Bruce Willis with Samuel L. Jackson should have been the first warning sign that the writers were running on empty. It was a hell of a lot of fun; but hardly original. The last Die Hard flick was released back in 2008 and was a pretty pale imitation of the original films viewed through rosy PG13 glasses. The directors cut was a t least watchable but still felt completely unnecessary. Since this one has already soiled our screens, I dont have to make predictions. It is shockingly crap. Dont bother renting the dvd.
