Shocking both because it was unexpected and extremely hilarious, Chad Feldheimer (Brad Pitt) meets his grisly, bizarre demise at the hands of Harry Pfarrer (George Clooney), who has a shower and ventures into the closet where Chad is hiding. Startled by the man's appearance, Harry soon enough pops a cap in his head, but not before Chad can give him the most ridiculous, confused expression ever, which frankly was probably enough to make anyone start firing bullets in his general direction. A massive overreaction on Harry's part, the scene is darkly funny (even with the explosion of gore Chad's death creates), and sure proof that humour often comes from confounding expectations.
