10 Signs DC Will Dominate Marvel At The Box Office (Eventually)

10. DC Has Acknowledged There's Room For Improvement

Even the most diehard DC fans would admit that the DCEU films have been uneven in their execution, which isn’t actually anything to worry about. The DCEU is still relatively young. It often takes time for cinematic franchises to find their footing and establish their own unique voice.

Don’t believe me? Look no further than DC’s arch-nemesis Marvel.

It’s easy to forget that Marvel once had its own franchise issues. Marvel started out on a high note with 2008’s Iron Man only to fumble with its next two films. Marvel’s second feature, The Incredible Hulk, did okay numbers but failed to wow audiences or critics alike, especially in the wake of Iron Man’s success. 2010’s Iron Man 2 fared better at the box office but audiences took issue with the tacked-on universe building Marvel shoehorned into the movie.

The DCEU is experiencing similar growing pains; the important thing is that DC is willing to learn from its mistakes. According to Variety, Time Warner’s Jeff Bewkes recently admitted that the DCEU films could be improved by making them a bit more fun. If the DCEU takes the criticism to heart, the quality and already substantial box office of its films will increase.
