10 Signs The Batman Could Be A Crushing Disappointment

10. The Chances Of It Being Another Origin Story Seem High

It's been said that The Batman takes place in "Year Two" of the Dark Knight's crime fighting career, but make no mistake about it, this has all the makings of another origin story. While it's too soon to say whether we'll have to once again watch Thomas and Martha Wayne get gunned down, Reeves' movie is going to explore how Batman became...Batman!

Zack Snyder gave us a world-weary Batman who had spent decades in Gotham City, but Reeves had the chance to find a comfortable middle-ground with his movie. Instead, we're going to be forced to spend time with a rookie Batman, and while there's a lot of storytelling potential with that concept, the film might as well still include the murder of his parents.

Don't believe us? Well, look no further than the Batsuit for proof that what happened to them will factor into The Batman in a big way. This Bruce Wayne wears the gun used to kill them on his chest as a twisted reminder of what happened, and there's no way this is just an Easter Egg rather than something Reeves plans to devote a lot of screentime to.

We've seen this too many times before, and it really isn't something we need more of!
