3. The Nauseating/Hilarious Level Of Gore - Punisher: War Zone

Punisher: War Zone is in no way anything approaching a good movie. A glorified straight-to-video follow-up to Thomas Jane's underrated 2004 comic book adaptation, trading in Jane for the not-so-charismatic Ray Stevenson wasn't particularly great from the start, and the forgettable plot follows along an incredibly simplistic moral compass, which is a major no-no in a Punisher movie. There is one saving grace, though: director Lexi Alexander makes excellent use of the movie's R-rating, upping the gore level to 11, resulting in a number of hilariously, grotesquely violent moments. Severed heads, numerous throat-related kills, several guys having their faces blown to bits, a chair leg being kicked through a dude's eye, a parkour baddie being blown up with a rocket launcher mid-flight and even a scene in which The Punisher punches a hole through a guy's face: what's not to like? Depending on your own demeanour, it'll either make you want to vomit or laugh hysterically, and is easily the greatest aspect of an otherwise incredibly dull movie.
