3. Mystique Fills Magneto's Security Guard With Iron - X2: X-Men United

The second X-Men movie sees metal-manipulating supervillain Magneto (Ian McKellen) sealed inside a plastic prison, where he's totally incapable of using his abilities to affect his escape.

But of course, Erik Lehnsherr is always a man with a plan, getting Mystique (Rebecca Romijn) to hit on his security guard at a bar, after which she spikes the guard's drink and injects him with an iron solution.

As a result, when the guard enters Magneto's cell the next day, Magneto is able to sense the iron and use his powers to forcibly rip it from the guard's body, forming ball bearings which he uses to shatter the plastic prison and escape.

This is a shining example of a supervillain using their noggin to take account of all possible factors: the specific conditions of his imprisonment, a collaborator who can literally shape herself into any man's dream woman, and the real flaw in any security system - the easily compromised human element.
