2. GIVE UP: Doctor Octopus

Dr. Otto Octavius needs no introduction and his portrayal in Spider-Man 2 still stands as one of the best comic-to-film villain adaptations to date. He’s destined to enter into Spider-Man’s world and there’s no doubt that it must be in the MCU.

Sony should let Alfred Molina's performance stand untouched, allowing the MCU to work their magic with a new version of the character. However, he shouldn’t be quickly jettisoned into the universe as a full-blown villain.

The Spider-Man PS4 title is fantastic, thanks in part to an amazing story-line. This game is a perfect template to base the MCU Doc Ock — mentor turned adversary.

Even using the female version from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will work just as well — perhaps even better. Imagine Peter Parker finding a mother-figure in Olivia Octavius only to have their relationship severed.
