This choice may be considered something of a guilty pleasure but there’s something about Prowler that just cries out to be set to screen.

Real name Hobie Brown, the Prowler is a character born of somewhat good intentions. Brown intended to use the homemade high-tech Prowler suit to steal things but then return them for a reward out of his costume. Unfortunately on his first outing, Webhead doles out the usual punishment only to convince Brown to use the suit for good.

The right filmmaker you could construct a pretty decent three-act subplot around that story. Maybe they fight in the opening ten minutes but then Prowler turns up to save Spidey’s skin near the end? There’s also a fun story about Hobie putting on a Spidey suit and deliberately being seen with Peter Parker so as to throw off some of Peter’s suspicious friends which could make for a great one of those after credits that Marvel are famous for.
