10 Star Wars Characters With Most Wasted Potential

10. Tarfful

Quick refresher on who Tarfful the Wookiee actually is.

Remember towards the end of Revenge of the Sith, where Yoda has to leave Kashyyyk because the clones have turned on him? There's a scene where he says goodbye to his two Wookie guards - one of them is Chewbacca and the other is our boy Tarfful.

The hairy powerhouse actually made his first appearance in the video game Republic Commando, but his two major roles have been in Revenge of the Sith and a single episode of the Clone Wars animated TV show.

For a species that is so instantly recognisable, Star Wars hasn't really explored the Wookiees in its main cannon. Tarfful offered a great way for them to do that, as he was already tied to so many major characters.

Outside of the films and TV shows, it is confirmed that the dark-furred fighter ended up as an imperial slave who worked on completing the Death Star. This could have been a fascinating story to see play out, but one fans may never get to see.
