10 Star Wars Mistakes You Can’t Unsee

10. No Water For Jar Jar - The Phantom Menace

In terms of the many CGI or practical beings brought to life on screen over the course of the whopping 11 live-action big screen offerings we've been treated to over the years, few characters have faced the sort of backlash dealt to the odd-ball Gungan who first arrived on the scene in 1999's The Phantom Menace.

On top of being rejected by a large part of the older demographic of Star Wars fanatics, Jar Jar Binks also found himself being shunned by Anakin Skywalker's mother Shmi during that first Prequel offering.

During the scene which sees Qui-Gon Jinn and the gang have some dinner in the Skywalker home, Shmi can be seen pouring water for her guests. Only, when it comes time to pour the bumbling Gungan a glass, the sound of liquid hitting the container can be heard but not a drop can be spotted entering the cup.

Obviously this was likely an on-set mistake that George Lucas attempted to mask as best he could in post-production. But once you spot the lack of liquid being offered up to Binks, it hilariously gives the impression of Shmi passively not being a fan of the Gungan's company.
