10 Star Wars Scenes Everyone Gets Wrong

10. Balance To The Force Isn't A Numbers Game

Let's kick things off with one of the single most misinterpreted aspects of Star Wars lore, that "bringing balance to the Force" isn't - contrary to popular opinion - a simple numbers game.

That is to say, the Force isn't in balance when there are two Jedi and two Sith.

Despite what some fans might think, the Force definitely isn't in balance at the end of the prequels simply because we have Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor) and Yoda (Frank Oz) on one side, and Anakin (Hayden Christensen) and Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid) on the other.

The mere existence of the Sith is imbalance, with George Lucas himself even referring to them as a "cancer" which needs to be removed in order to achieve balance. The Dark Side of the Force can never die, but the Sith who indulge in it absolutely can.

Only when the Jedi prevail over the Sith and the Dark Side is kept at bay, can true balance be realised.
