10 Star Wars Spin-Offs Gareth Edwards Needs To Direct

8. Kit Fisto And The Jedi Crack Squad

There is wisdom in not focusing too heavily on the back story of our favourite characters; while it might be great to see more of Yoda or Boba Fett, too much exposure could ruin their mystique. The same applies to the rumoured Han Solo movie. Do we really need to see a younger version of our favourite scoundrel played by another actor? If Gareth Edwards wanted to try his hand at a character spin off, what about one of the less known characters that have popped up in the cinematic Star Wars universe? Kit Fisto was rather unceremoniously taken out by Darth Sidious during his big reveal in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith. But up to that point, this green-tentacled Jedi master had certainly made his mark, fighting with great skill in the Battle of Geonosis at the end of Attack Of The Clones. He popped up regularly in The Clone Wars animated series, taking down some notable foes. One of the best elements of the prequel trilogy was seeing the Jedi in action. Given how much his fighting skills stood out, what about putting Kit Fisto centre stage? Perhaps Kit Fisto could lead a unit of Jedi on a dangerous mission, giving us plenty of action and drama and showing us the Jedi at their very best? Unless Star Wars Episode VII establishes a new Jedi order, this could be the best opportunity for plenty more lightsaber action.
