10 Star Wars: The Force Awakens Rumours That Ended Up Being Bullsh*t

6. Andy Serkis' Second Role

Andy Serkis definitely makes his presence felt in Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke, but earlier reports pointed to the Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes star doing more in this movie than just playing the man behind the sinister voice which had the internet going wild after hearing it in the first teaser trailer for the movie. One report claimed that Snoke had a "pivotal" role in The Force Awakens€™ first act, but that Serkis would then take the lead as an €œunbelievably athletic and acrobatic motion capture character€, with newcomers Pip Anderson and Crystal Clarke said to be joining him. That's very interesting, but I'm not even sure I remember seeing those two make any sort of appearance here, never mind this athletic CGI creation! With literally nothing to back this rumour up in any way, it's clear that it was entirely bogus and that Serkis will continue playing the single key role of the new big bad of the Star Wars franchise moving forward.
