10 Stupidest Moments In The Worst Movies Of 2013

7. Giraffe Decapitation - The Hangover Part III

The Hangover Part III was in many ways a reflection of everything that's wrong with contemporary Hollywood, a desperate second sequel whose aim was solely to make another shedload of money before audiences became too apathetic about the whole enterprise. That the film certainly did, making $351 million at the box office, which while considerably down on the previous two films, is still a solid profit by any regular standard (against an admittedly suspiciously high $103 million budget). All that desperation is summarised in one scene near the start of the movie, when resident nutjob Alan (Zach Galafianakis) purchases a giraffe and cruises along the freeway with it in the back. When he reaches a low bridge, the poor animal is summarily decapitated, and a huge pile-up is caused. Much like the rest of the film, it's more about mean-spirited shock gags than silly-clever humour, but on the plus side, at least it's the last film.
