8. Vincent Shouldn't Go To The Bathroom - Pulp Fiction
Trying to work out all of the jokes and references and nods and moments that he ripped off from obscure movies we've never heard of in movies directed by Quentin Tarantino is something of an exercise in futility, given that there are a seemingly endless number of them - and sometimes Tarantino doesn't even know he's put them in.
Although this little running joke has never been confirmed by the man himself, I do believe it's intentional, because - c'mon - it's Tarantino! Think back to all the scenes in Pulp Fiction where Vincent Vega, as played by John Travolta in the role that rebranded him as a star, goes to the bathroom. There are three instances of this in the movie, and each and every time he goes, something bad happens. The first time, Mia ends up overdosing on heroin. The next time we see him, well... Butch guns him down. And in the last instance, the diner ends up getting robbed.
This guy gets unlucky every time he takes a sh*t.
