10 Supernatural Heroes Who Should Follow Doctor Strange To The MCU

4. Man-Thing

Man-Thing is Dr. Theodore "Ted" Sallis - a biochemist who was part of a group that was trying to recreate the Super Soldier Serum that made Captain America the hero he became. After a confrontation with the technological terrorist group A.I.M. (including Ellen Brandt - his lover, who had betrayed him and an established Marvel Cinematic Universe character), he fled in his car and injected himself with the serum to give him the means to protect himself. However, he crashed into a swamp and the combination of the serum with the plant-life and some residual mystical energy transformed him into the slow-moving plant-matter creature, Man-Thing. This form granted him a number of superhuman abilities, including increased strength and durability, the ability to sense emotions, the ability to secrete a powerful corrosive chemical and the ability to teleport both himself and others through the cross-dimensional gateway know as the Nexus of All Realities. He has worked alongside the likes of the Thunderbolts, the Daydreamers, the Legion of Monsters, the Avengers of the Supernatural and the Ancient Order of the Shield. He has also partnered with Howard the Duck. Everyone now knows that Howard the Duck exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Man-Thing was confirmed as existing in the franchise when Maria Hill mentioned him on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - it would be awesome to see him appear (particularly as part of a wacky team-up with the aforementioned bird).
