3. Logan (Matt Passmore) - Jigsaw
While few were expecting much from the eighth Saw film, a final twist slightly more creative than "there's another apprentice" sure wouldn't have hurt.
Indeed, the end of the movie reveals that pathologist Logan (Matt Passmore) has been behind the new Jigsaw killings, having been recruited as Jigsaw's (Tobin Bell) first apprentice a decade prior, after Jigsaw rescued him from a defective trap.
In addition to the fact that Logan isn't a particularly interesting character, he's awkwardly shoehorned into the series' already messy chronology, and him being in the mix for so long just invites a ton of franchise-breaking logical issues.
Namely, when Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) was going off the rails and disobeying Jigsaw's ethos, where the hell was Logan?
Making matters worse, the upcoming ninth movie, tentatively titled The Organ Donor, doesn't appear to feature Logan, making the reveal all the more pointless and perfunctory.
