A satirical look at America€™s obsession with fame and people who are famous simply for being famous, the Slasher€™s antics begin to make people wonder if he has actually done the right thing. Why It Sucks: So woefully executed that not even the most hardened hater of Reality TV can enjoy it, L.A. Slasher set out to strike a chord with its audience but needs to get its guitar tuned. The concept has not only been done before, but done far better €“ Bobcat Goldthwaite€™s God Bless America jumps to mind as a movie close in subject matter but worlds apart in quality. Bautista opposite fellow drug dealer Danny Trejo is amusing in a B-movie kind of way, though the pair don't exactly push each other to new heights in this one. Curiously, for a film that€™s entire concept is based on the destructive powers of Reality TV stars, they have Celebrity Wife Swap contestant Andy Dick voicing the Slasher himself.
