8. Antonio Banderas & Lucy Liu - Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever
One of the more infamous cases of bad Hollywood filmmaking, Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever holds the unenviable record for worst film ever reviewed on aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes. Despite amassing a colossal 115 reviews, the film retains a remarkable 0% rating, reflecting that every single one of those 115 separate critics considered the film a dud. And a catastrophic dud at that. Not only did Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever have critics choking on their popcorn, it also tail spun and burst into flames at the box-office, getting nowhere near to making back its $70,000,000 budget. Antonio Banderas and Lucy Liu - two attractive leads who were pretty big during the time of production - star opposite one another as secret agents, and have less chemistry between them than Banderas did with computer-generated talking food in the Wrigley's Extra advert. Elsewhere, the arc of the film is essentially a collection of chaotic and incoherent action sequences that are scattered enough to induce week-long migraines in the most tranquil viewer. Neither of these leads are particularly big anymore. It makes you wonder: is this movie the reason why? Either way, it's a staining blot on Banderas' and Liu's acting resumes that refuses to scrub off.
