Kevin Costner, for some strange reason, seems to be in the middle of a career resurgence as he won an Emmy for Hatfield and McCoy's and is set to appear in blockbuster movies, Man of Steel and Jack Ryan later in the year. However, after starring in Sizzle Beach USA, it is a miracle he became a star and Oscar winner at all. The film was not released until 1986 at around the time Costner found fame, but it is truly horrid and is misogynism at its most putrid as Costner spends the movie drooling over girls in bikinis. Costner obviously became a huge Hollywood star and this woeful attempt at cinema did not prevent him from starring in films such as JFK, The Untouchables, Field of Dreams and No Way Out. Costner has made his fair share of bad movies, picking up three Razzie Awards for Worst Actor and a further three nominations, but none were quite as bad as this sleazy, amateur flick.
