10. Henry Cavill's Superman Is Kind Of An Ass

There's no denying that Henry Cavill has done a great job as Superman, and with the right script and director, The Witcher star could likely do amazing things with the role. However, while sharing endless praise for his take on Clark Kent, many fans choose to ignore the fact that this Kal-El... well, he's not exactly the selfless hero they know and love from the comic books.

In Man of Steel, he didn't decide to start saving people's lives until finally getting over his daddy issues (don't forget he let his adoptive father sacrifice himself to keep his powers a secret years earlier), while killing General Zod - even as a last resort - is massively out of character.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice even explored a future where Superman has helped Darkseid conquer the world, killing countless innocents in the process. What led to the DCEU's most powerful hero heading down a dark path? His fiancée was killed, another sign that this Supes is one who cares more about himself than those he protects.

Some would have you believe Cavill's Superman is the best to ever grace the silver screen. Not true.
