2. Ginny's Personality

Probably the most common complaint among Potter fans is the portrayal of Ginny in the films. In the books, she's not some minor character who lusts over Harry her whole life. She is her own person, and she's awesome.

For one, Ginny is a much more talented witch than she is made out to be in the films. She's also extremely courageous, and snuck out of the Room of Requirement during the Battle of Hogwarts so that she could join the fight. Her and Hermione have a great friendship in the books that is never shown on screen. Her admiration for her brother Charlie is an adorable quirk that shows the little bit of childlike nature she still has. She is extremely funny, and her wit matches Harry's sass.

On top of it all, Ginny is an incredible Quidditch player. She goes on to play professionally after her Hogwarts days, becoming the Chaser for the Holyhead Harpies. After that, she's hired as the Senior Quidditch Correspondent at the Daily Prophet. Film Ginny is basically just a tool to show Harry's love life, and it's unfortunate to see such a great character brought down to such a level.
