Women in film have been objectified and represented as flawless females for decades... Especially when waking up in the morning with the perfect bed-head, face made-up to look natural - with a little blusher, lip gloss and minimal mascara to lengthen those eyelashes (unless fake ones have been applied already). However... In real life, if one so happens to be wearing make-up in bed to wake up looking potentially flawless (which is uncomfortably unnecessary)... there are a few issues that come to mind... How come pillows are not stained from foundation (and other products)? Why would fake eyelashes stay intact in the morning? Surely even waterproof mascara smudges/clumps after a restless night's sleep... There's movie bed-head which takes hours to achieve, and there's normal bed-head which takes hours to tame! Are these women human? No even evidence of drool or eye discharge? How come legs are still smooth... And I'd like to know what brand of lip-gloss is extremely long-lasting without smudging or at least leaving sticky traces along your face?! I'm sure it is now evident why the prospect of women waking up looking flawless is totally not normal outside of the movies... *Apologies if I have put off anyone from sleeping next to a woman ever again!
