8. Deathstroke Becomes The Main Recurring Antagonist
It's been reported recently that Warner Bros. is looking to push back Darkseid's arrival into the DCEU as the Thanos-like big bad, and it seems that re-shoots have turned Justice League into a mostly standalone film about the League facing off against Steppenwolf.
In terms of recurring villains, the franchise already has Lex Luthor, but for a more physical threat, it seems quite likely that Deathstroke, who is set to first appear in The Batman, may become one of the DCEU's mainstay antagonists.
After all, blowing such a beloved character on just one movie would be a huge mistake, and so the idea of him re-appearing numerous times to battle Batman and others really sounds like the best way to go.
With so many DC antagonists being CGI-slathered messes, the universe really needs an overarching villain who is both practical in nature and a major physical threat. Deathstroke ticks both those boxes, and Warner hopefully knows that.
