Stone's ancestry is a mixed bag, with far back roots stretching across to Germany, England, Scotland and Ireland, though her family predominantly hails from Sweden. Her paternal grandfather Conrad Ostberg Sten immigrated to the USA, where his family name was anglicised on Ellis Island to 'Stone'. Stone's father, Jeff, is the CEO of a contracting company, while her mother Krista is a homemaker, while the actress' parents also owned the Camelback Golf Club in Arizona, though it is now ran by the multi-national JW Marriott company.
