2. Gremlins Throwing Darts at Gizmo Was Sweet Revenge
One of the most memorable scenes from the first film is when the Gremlins overtake the bar. Youve got poker playing Gremlins, a Gremlin that cant resist flashing Phoebe Cates, and in a traumatic scene, the Gremlins have Gizmo tied to a dart board, throwing darts at him. This was the filmmaker's way of taking out the frustrations of constantly working with the Gizmo puppet. The puppet was apparently a pain to work with. This is partially because the Gizmo puppet was supposed to change into Stripe, like mentioned earlier. The only actions they had mapped out were for the first half of the film. Therefore, when the puppet was reconfigured, it gave the puppeteers lots of problems. Throwing darts at the puppet was their way of getting a little bit of revenge.
