Our weekly series of revisiting every single James Bond movie continues, and following on from 1962's Dr. No and 1963's From Russia with Love, the very next year unleashed one of the most iconic and best-loved Bond movies ever: Goldfinger.
Taking up the Bond mantle after the departure of previous franchise director Terence Young, Guy Hamilton went on to helm three Bond films after Goldfinger - Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, and The Man with the Golden Gun - but not one of them managed to match the bravura ingenuity of this solid-gold (sorry) spy classic.
So, how does Goldfinger stand up to modern eyes? Pretty well for the most part, though there are undeniable moments sure to elicit eye-rolls and scratched heads, especially from younger viewers seeing it for the very first time in 2018.
