10 Things You Won’t Believe Were Cut From Spider-Man Movies

7. Jameson Tries On Spidey's Outfit (Spider-Man 2)

Almost any movie in existence would benefit from extra J.K. Simmons, but Sam Raimi obviously felt less was more when he was assembling Spider-Man 2's final cut.

During a brief montage that highlights Spidey's absence after a disillusioned Peter Parker has binned his costume, an additional scene featuring J. Jonah Jameson in full superhero cosplay mode was due to bookend the sequence.

In the deleted footage, the Daily Bugle's firebrand of an editor is seen prancing about his office in Peter's discarded Spider-Man outfit, firing invisible webs around and knocking stuff over, much to the amusement of his spying employees.

Presumably, Raimi felt the scene was too goofy to mesh with Spider-Man 2's tone, but even he can't deny it's genuinely funny, and if nothing else, it would have highlighted the fact that, deep down, Jameson wants to be just like Spidey.
