10 Times Directors Hated The Films They Made
10. Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (Ti West)
The first Cabin Fever, released back in 2002 and directed by Eli Roth, was a fun homage to low-budget horrors of yesteryear, featuring a bunch of teens who contract a flesh-eating virus. The much-maligned sequel, Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever, didn't come out until 2009 and was made by Ti West.
West has enjoyed a good career in horror movies, being responsible for the likes of The House of the Devil and The Innkeepers, but he actually tried to remove his name from Cabin Fever 2 altogether after seeing the final cut. West claimed that the theatrical version was nothing like his original vision for the film and actually walked away from the project when he saw all the changes being made.
The director did say he had a lot of fun making the movie itself but that the post-production antics of executives ruined the experience. The film was poorly received in general and West has repeatedly distanced himself from the project.
