10 Unluckiest Sci-Fi Movie Characters Ever
10. Unlucky Bastard - The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Let's kick things off with a character so damn unlucky he's even named as such in the end credits.
In The Lost World: Jurassic Park's third act, the action shifts to San Diego, where the T-rex has escaped and ventures off on a brutal rampage, killing anyone who gets in its way.
An especially ill-fated person, then, is the man credited only as "Unlucky Bastard" - played by David Koepp, who wrote the first two Jurassic Park films. The man is seen running away from the T-rex along with a large group of fellow citizens as it stomps through the city.
Unlucky Bastard decides to deviate from the pack and, amid the chaos, runs towards a Blockbuster Video store where he understandably believes he'll be much safer than in the open street.
However, rather than focus on the rabble of people running away from it, the T-rex suddenly turns and grabs Unlucky Bastard as he's mere fractions of a second away from pulling the door open and getting inside.
And that's not even the end of it. The T-rex picks the guy up in its jaws, crushes him in its mouth, drops him on the floor, stomps on him, and then starts eating him.
Considering we can still hear the guy's dying screams through most of this, it wasn't a quick or painless death, that's for sure.
