10 Unmade Tim Burton Films That Would Have Been Awesome

10. Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian

After his 1988 horror comedy Beetlejuice was a surprise hit, Warner Bros were confident enough with Burton's vision to fast-track his bizarre idea for a sequel - Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian! "Tim though it would be funny to match the surfing backdrop of a beach movie with a sort of German Expression, because they're totally wrong together," said Jonathan Gems, the writer Burton hired to write the script. Before the film could be made, however, Burton and star Michael Keaton had moved on to Batman Returns and Beetlejuice never got to go to Hawaii.

Although one of the more famous abandoned Tim Burton projects amongst fans this one finds itself at the bottom of our list as a sequel to Beetlejuice is apparently in the pipeline, with Keaton and Winona Ryder expected to be back under Burton's direction. Don't expect to see any surfing though.
