10 Unmissable Films Still To Come In 2014

10. The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies

That's right: the epic culmination of Peter Jackson's Hobbit Trilogy will hit cinemas in December, as Frodo Baggins and his merry band of dwarves will decide the fate of Middle-Earth for good. Many have been critical of Peter Jackson's decision to split what is actually a relatively small book into a trio of three hour movies, but given the scale inherent to this final chapter, the occasionally meandering nature of the first films might well be justified. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies begins where the previous chapter, The Desolation of Smaug, finished off, as the terrifying dragon of that movie's title unleashes himself upon Middle-Earth. At a whopping cost of $250 million, there's no doubt that this installment will find itself as one of the highest-grossing pictures of all-time. Besides, there are "Five Armies," you say? You'd be a fool of a Took to miss what will no doubt end up as the most memorable blockbuster of the year.
