10 Upcoming Blockbusters That Will Sink Faster Than The Titanic

4. Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters

The Release Date: January 11th, 2013 What It€™s Got Going For It: As the latest in a long line of €˜gritty€™ fairy tale blockbusters- Snow White and Jack The Giant Killer began the domino trend- Hansel & Gretel will no doubt benefit from interest in its rather outrageous premise. Placing Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton at the head of the pack of the not-to-be-messed-with cast is certainly not a poor move on the part of the marketing team, either, with both stars associated with other blockbuster franchises. Why It€™s Already Doomed: As much as Renner would testify his co-starring roles in Mission Impossible and Avengers, they weren€™t exactly extensive, and his foray into the Bourne franchise hasn€™t exactly been a worldwide phenomenon of a reboot either. Meanwhile, Arterton was kicked out of the already-fledging Clash Of The Titans series as she moved over to the equally dismal Prince Of Persia adaptation, so her stardom isn€™t exactly secure either. As if those weak foundations of promotion weren€™t already enough of a problem, recent fairy tale and fantasy romps with headline-grabbing titles such as Snow White & The Huntsman and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter haven€™t exactly fared brilliantly beyond their opening week of release. Is it really fair to assume that Jack & Jill will perform any better than their predecessors? Certainly, with the promising comedy ensemble Movie 43 set for release next January too, the odds aren€™t positive right now!
