Release Date: 6th November, 2014. What's It About: Erm... space. And... black holes, possibly. OK, fine, we have no clue. Interstellar is the latest film from king of the thinking man's blockbuster Christopher Nolan. It stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and (it is a Nolan film after all) Michael Caine and from the two cryptic trailers and the title we've gleaned it involves interstellar travel (we're dead smart). And that's really all we want to know; let's leave the surprises for November. Why You'll See It: Nolan is a filmmaker with a clout similar to an eighties-era Spielberg; whereas as most directors are known as "the guy who did ...", Nolan is one of the few directors working today whose name is enough to get regular audiences riled up. His Dark Knight Trilogy and Inception pulled off the impossible and made critically adored blockbusters that connected just as much with the general public, so now any project he's attached to will get everyone ready to pre-book. Heck, most people will even avoid reviews altogether just in case they get an accidental spoiler.
