10. Minions 3

The old adage that you can have too much of a good thing is all too often proven to be true, particularly when the exposure to said good thing is so over the top that you end up never wanting to see it or experience it again. Case and point in the film industry, the Minions.

Back in 2010 with the release of the original Despicable Me, Gru's army of little yellow men became unbelievably popular. They were everywhere - in the cinema, on every bit of merchandise you could imagine, mobile games, TV adverts, you name it. Wherever you looked, you'd see a Minion or three.

This was based off the fact that they were so loveable, and that they were easily the MVP of a movie starring Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig, which is really saying something. However, their appeal soon began to fade, and what was once cute jabbering soon became annoying and eventually intolerable.

After four Despicable Me films and two based around the Minions themselves, the last thing anyone needs to see is the aliens on screen a seventh time. Yet, this is exactly what is going to happen when a third Minions movie releases in June 2027.
