10 Upcoming Movie Sequels That Aren't What You Think

8. Jurassic World 3 ISN'T Dinosaurs In Suburbia

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom concluded with a blatantly sequel-baiting cliffhanger, where young clone (!) Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon) released the trapped dinosaurs into the American wilderness, kick-starting a "Neo-Jurassic Age" where the dinos will roam amid civilisation.

And to be honest, there are far worse set-ups for a sixth Jurassic Park movie, as thoroughly stupid as Fallen Kingdom was.

Stretching the last 20 minutes of The Lost World out into a full movie with tons of concrete jungle action could at least result in some fun schlock, right? In the very least, it's what everyone expected coming away from Fallen Kingdom's ending.

Except, that's not what Jurassic World 3 is going to be, like, at all.

In a recent interview, series writer-director Colin Trevorrow said of the next movie, "I just have no idea what would motivate dinosaurs to terrorize a city. They can’t organize. Right now we’ve got lethal predators in wild areas surrounding cities all over the world. They don’t go pack hunting for humans in urban areas...The world I get excited about is the one where it’s possible that a dinosaur might run out in front of your car on a foggy backroad, or invade your campground looking for food. A world where dinosaur interaction is unlikely but possible, the same way we watch out for bears or sharks."

That...sounds a lot less exciting (and trashy!) than the suburban dinosaur massacre we were promised in Fallen Kingdom. Boo.
